At Vegetable Land, we use no herbicides or pesticides, organic or otherwise. We do not kill animals. We plant large swaths of insect habitat and let flower and set seed what will. We are resource and nutrient conscious in our growing, gathering, and distribution.

In two thousand seven we began our food venture at red lee’s old gambling cabin on springfield road, prodded by a local food themed restaurant and an upswing in interest in real food in the area. Over the next few years we established contacts and honed our growing skills while expanding our output and clientele.

In two thousand twelve we started offering shares of our food, preparing vegan meals at the river city food coop, and concentrating on growing more garlic for seed while moving to our new place in savah. We continue to grow and learn with the help of brave and aware partners and always welcome more.
